The CoffeeAdapt team’s main scientific interest is focused on the study of the adaptive response of Arabica coffee to the environmental stress associated to climate change in agroforestry conditions.
To achieve this, the team is structured in three research themes:
- Genome dynamics
- Genetic, epigenetic and metabolomic mechanisms of the adaptive response
- Modeling, prebreeding tools and assistance to breeding programs
The CoffeeAdapt team is also a world leader in coffee biotechnology, and is working to maintain and develop its expertise in genetic transformation and tissue culture.
